  • Cabinets - minimum of 1 per IDF and 1 per classroom. Size and quantity determined by the accommodation required.
  • Servers - 7 at Sunnyslope school.
  • UPS - Depends on the power output and the power requirements of the equipment to be protected. (workgroup and enterprise servers, school router and core/hub routers)(Look at equipment list)
  • Length of CAT5E cable
  • Length of multimode fibre. * Need to determine number of fibres in the cable - see below *
  • RJ45 outlets - 25 per classroom and 10 for admin = Total 1260.

Each Classroom (and there are 50) as indicated by (1) on the plans requires:

  • 1 x Lockable cabinet,  to contain:
  • 3 x Hubs (12 port)
  • 1 x Hub (4 port)
  • 2 x Patch Panels as required to terminate 29 CAT5E cables.
  • 29 x Patch Cords.
  • 32 metres (approx) of trunking from cabinet to workstations.
  • 150 metres of CAT5E cable from cabinet to workstations.
  • 29 x RJ45 wall sockets.
  • 25 x Patch Cables from wall sockets to workstations.

Sunnyslope school will require:

  • 325 x PCs (refer to Desktop Equipment Details)

The 3 hubs will require in total, for the WAN connections only:
