Client Requirements:
 
Implement a Data Network to provide connectivity between all school sites in the Washington Elementary School District.

All hosts will have Internet access and email. Two networks will be implemented at each school, one designated Administration and one designated Curriculum. Access to the Administration network will be restricted to staff & teachers only. All access to the schools network from the Internet will be refused.

The design life of the network is to be a minimum of 7-10 years and will be designed with an upgrade path allowing 100x LAN bandwidth throughput, 2x WAN throughput & 10x Internet connection throughput. Initial bandwidth requirement are 1.0Mb/s to each host & 100Mb/s to each server.

The network is to be designed with three hubs. Each hub will be directly connected to the other two hubs. Individual schools will be connected to the nearest hub.

Access to the Internet will be via the District Office at Phoenix C.O.. No other connection will be allowed.

A network management station will be established at the district office and be designated the master station. A regional network management station will be established at each hub, providing support to the schools in its area.

All locations shown on the school plans are to be provided with the ability to support 25 PCs. One PC for Staff / Teachers and the other 24 PCs for the students.
